ASMAL it´s a I.P.S.S. (Social Solidarity Private Institution), non-profit, recognized as a legal person of public utility. Although the priority of the intervention is aimed to the population with mental disability, ASMAL also develops actions to the disadventagious, with disability and at risk population, to the families of people with mental illness and to the population in general. It operates in the following areas: Professional Rehabilitation Center; Adult Education and Training Office; Information, Evaluation and Referral Office; Post-placement Support and Monitoring Office; Information and Dissemination Office; AVA- ASMAL Victims Support Office; CQEP- Qualification Center for Professional Training; Two socio-occupacional forums (Faro and Almancil); Supported Life Unit (Almancil); Family Support offices (Loulé, Faro e Almancil). Soon the Socio Occupational Teenagers Unit wil be operational (Loulé).
